37 km West of Austin (Texas, USA) is one of the most unusual and picturesque lakes in the world — Hamilton Pool (Hamilton Pool). The unusual it is that Hamilton Pool is both an underground lake and surface, flowing to the surface from under the arch stone grotto. Complements the beauty of waterfall flowing from 15-meter height.
The lake was formed thousands of years ago as a result of collapse of the limestone dome of an underground river due to massive erosion. Water underground rivers flow into the river flowing nearby Pedernales (Pedernales river), which, in turn, is a tributary of the Colorado river (Colorado).
The pool is surrounded by huge slabs of limestone, and the ceiling of the cave stalactites hanging down in places.
Until the 19th century there lived tribes of American Indians Tokawa and Apache. In 1985 a parcel of 232 acres of land on which is located this unique natural formation was purchased from private owners and declared a nature reserve — the Hamilton Pool Preserve.

In Croatia there is a unique national Park Plitvice lakes (Horw. Plitvička jezera). Thousands of tourists from all over the world flock here to overjoyed to merge with the Paradise nature. And it’s hard to believe that once this place was called “devil’s garden”.
The famous lakes are located halfway between Zagreb, the capital of the state, to the Adriatic coast, along which, and found shelter Croatia.

Unforgettable summer practice
Shapshinskaya the tract. From 13 to 22 June, the students of 1 course of a speciality “Biology” interned in the territory of Shapshinskaya tracts of the natural Park of the district values “Samarovski Chugas”. To work, students set in a field hospital of the international UNESCO chair of GOU VPO “the SOUTH”. The hospital is located in the village of sapsa, who is removed from Khanty-Mansiysk on 11 km.
Before the children had several tasks that they have successfully managed: physical-geographical description of the area; a description and a collection of plants for herbarium; the description and collection of insects; observing and photographing objects.
