37 km West of Austin (Texas, USA) is one of the most unusual and picturesque lakes in the world — Hamilton Pool (Hamilton Pool). The unusual it is that Hamilton Pool is both an underground lake and surface, flowing to the surface from under the arch stone grotto. Complements the beauty of waterfall flowing from 15-meter height.
The lake was formed thousands of years ago as a result of collapse of the limestone dome of an underground river due to massive erosion. Water underground rivers flow into the river flowing nearby Pedernales (Pedernales river), which, in turn, is a tributary of the Colorado river (Colorado).
The pool is surrounded by huge slabs of limestone, and the ceiling of the cave stalactites hanging down in places.
Until the 19th century there lived tribes of American Indians Tokawa and Apache. In 1985 a parcel of 232 acres of land on which is located this unique natural formation was purchased from private owners and declared a nature reserve — the Hamilton Pool Preserve.

Last Saturday, members of several committees of the regional government participated in the clean up the shores of lakes in the Vsevolozhsk district of the Leningrad region. The action was timed to the world day of environment (environment Day), celebrated on 5 June.
Cloudy weather did not dampen the spirits of the participants, and did not destroy their plans. As water bodies were selected, popular with the local population (as a place of recreation and rest), lakes – Large and Long, located near Vsevolozhsk.
Organizers and sponsors of the event were volunteer ecological movement “Clean lakes” and the company “Coca-Cola Hellenic”.
On the Saturday, held in coordination with the local administration, worked more than 80 people, including residents of the area. 2.5 hours were collected 144 bags of garbage or about 10 cubic meters of solid waste.
